P. odoratissimum

section cortusina.
this species is popular for its scent which is clean, apple like and quite strong, it reminds me of a fancy french soap.

P. tongaense - flower

i am so relieved that i got the picture taken in time - only one flower left!
pretty, no?

P. magentum - flower

section: Cortusina
this pelargonium is from Monica's great collection

P. gibbosum - flower

section: Polyactium
this pelargonium is from Monica's great collection.
Monica's P.gibbosum is a variation as the flowers are dark & maroon instead of light & creamish yellow. this one is for the creatures of the night, 'cause that's when it has chosen to grant us its smell...

P. drummondi

section: Peristera
this pelargonium is from Monica's great collection.

P. lanceolatum

this pelargonium is from Monica's great collection.
P. lanceolatum is named due to the shape of the leaves which are narrow and shaped like a lance. this specie grows in a limited area around Worcester.

Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

P. cotylodonis - plant

section: Isopetalum
synonym: Old Man Lives Forever, Hollyhock-leaved Pelargonium and Bonsai Pelargonium.
mr. weird here used to grow on the island St.Helena off the African coast but as far as i've read it only grows 'in captivation' now.

P. sidoides - plant

section cortusina.
i adore the combination of the silvery leaves and the purple, almost black flowers of P. sidoides. each flower is 17 mm max but they grow on a fine twisting stem that can become more than a meter long!
this specie grows in a large area of South Africa, in anything from the lowlands to the mountains.

P. australe - plant

section: Peristera
my P.australe is a variant as it has red stems and grows in a low, tufted and round way. sooooo pretty!
